CONSULTATION ON THE FUTURE OF THE PUBIC HALL
The Parish Council is considering the long-term future of the Public Hall and whether there may be a better and more cost-effective location.
The Public Hall is a pre-fabricated building that is likely to require significant investment to maintain in the long-term. Although the Hall is very well used, it has a number of drawbacks. In addition to the maintenance issues and the cost of this, it has limited parking and is not in the most central location for the village. As a result, the Parish Council is considering whether there are other options and whether more suitable buildings may be available.
If another building were considered, the Parish Council would need to sell the Public Hall and, the likelihood is that this sale would be to developer who would build housing.
Before going any further, the Parish Council would like to assess residents’ views so please respond to this short survey.
